Glass matters, but the roof, walls, floor or foundation, air sealing, and mechanical system must work together. Mattison plans those layers as one assembly.

Simonton 5500 Series

Mattison uses Simonton 5500 Series windows and glass packages. Simonton offers insulated glass, ProSolar Low-E, argon, and configuration-specific options; the exact package and ratings are documented for each project.

Continuous air and water control

Flanged windows, butyl-compatible flashing, sealed transitions, and properly integrated exterior trim help stop drafts and manage water.

Insulated structure

Roof, wall, and floor or foundation insulation are selected around the design. Spray foam may be used where it improves continuity and controls air leakage.

Right-sized conditioning

The room’s glass area, orientation, volume, and connection to the home are considered when planning heating and cooling.

Published R-values, U-factors, solar-heat-gain ratings, and energy-code requirements vary by the selected Simonton glass package, glass area, framing depth, jurisdiction, and final design. Your proposal identifies the actual assemblies and available manufacturer ratings for your project.
